Behind every camera is an interest in people, stories and moments that do not repeat.
More than a technical hobby
Photography appeals to a different side of my thinking. A website is built through structure and iteration; a photograph often depends on noticing a fleeting moment. Both require attention to detail, but in very different ways.
People in front of the lens
My interests have included portraits, models and creative direction. What I find most interesting is not only the finished image, but the collaboration that produces it: lighting, expression, confidence and the atmosphere of a shoot.
Projects that brought interests together
Photography and digital publishing have crossed paths in my work on model and photographer platforms. Those projects combine visual storytelling with the practical challenges of building websites and communities.
The importance of keeping a creative outlet
It is easy to let deadlines and technical problems take over. Photography reminds me to look up, observe and pay attention to people and places.
A growing visual diary
I would like this Journal to include photographs from different periods of my life. The images should carry their own stories, with honest captions about where they were taken and what they mean to me.
Editorial note: This first-person draft should be reviewed for accuracy and personal detail before publication.
